Wichita, KS – Experienced Journeyman Electrician

Tracy Electric Inc. is currently seeking Electricians to become a member of a highly skilled and well-respected team in the electrical service industry.

Job Duties can include, but are not limited to:

• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial/commercial electrical equipment installations.
• Install, examine, replace or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fiber-optic and coaxial cable assemblies, lighting fixtures and other electrical components.
• Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance.
• Maintain, repair, install and test switch gear, transformers, switchboard meters, regulators and reactors.
• Maintain, repair, test, and install electrical motors, generators, alternators, industrial storage batteries, and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems.
• Troubleshoot, maintain and repair industrial, electrical and electronic control systems and other related devices.
• May install, maintain and calibrate industrial instrumentation and related devices.

Qualifications:

• Must have working knowledge and be thoroughly familiar with the fundamentals of the National Electrical Code
• Demonstrated employment stability and good attendance and punctuality required
• Uses verbal and written skills effectively to ensure that information is successfully shared throughout the organization
• Follows instructions, responds to management direction and solicits feedback to improve performance
• Effective team player who adds complementary skills and contributes valuable ideas, opinions and feedback
• Safety and Security—the individual observes safety and security procedures and manages equipment, processes, and materials properly.
• Knowledge of motor controls, PLC installation and termination is a plus

Basic Job Requirements:

• Minimum Education Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Minimum of 2-5 years of Industrial/ Commercial Electrical Experience
• Must have a current and valid Driver’s License
• Familiar with installing all types of conduit installation.

Required License or Certification:

• Current Journeyman’s License
• Current Driver’s License
